Orange County School of the Arts student Aarav Putrevu received the Spotlight Award at the NHD-OC Awards Ceremony on March 18, 2026. Orange County Council for Gifted and Talented Education sponsors the Spotlight Award for 12th-grade students who demonstrate academic excellence, outstanding leadership, persistence, and strong care and concern for others. We are thrilled to announce that the winning student from University High School, Zhijie (Eric) Yang, has been recognized as a National History Day Spotlight Winner! Eric received his prestigious award from the OCDE National History Day Coordinators, Julie Hull and Dr. Virginia Reischl, in a ceremony that highlighted his outstanding achievements.
